Tyler Byers

Tyler Byers is a seasoned data science professional with extensive experience in leading and managing data science teams. Currently serving as a Senior Principal Data Scientist at Itron, Inc., since March 2021, Tyler has a history of key roles at various organizations, including Data Science Advisor at Invown and Lead Data Scientist/Data Science Manager at RiskLens, where important contributions included managing project priorities and pioneering research in cybersecurity risk quantification. Tyler's earlier positions include data science roles at Itron, HeadsUp Technologies Inc., and the Federal Government, demonstrating a strong foundation in machine learning, software development, and data analysis. An accomplished Paralympian, Tyler has represented the USA in international athletics, particularly in wheelchair racing, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Mathematics from the University of Arizona, along with multiple advanced degrees and certifications in data science and related fields.
