Mike Kerem

Mike Kerem has over 20 years of experience in the technology industry. In 1998, they served as CTO at BackupOnline.com, where they conceived and architected all technical aspects of the business and designed and implemented all of the company's Network Operation Centers. From 2004 to 2010, they were the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Skynet Infosec LLC, where they managed and executed security services for mid-size and large clients and architected and implemented Network and Information Security infrastructure, systems and tools for customer environments. In 2016, they became Co-Founder and CTO of iTrust Holdings Inc., where they helped businesses build trusted relationships with their vendors, partners, and suppliers by collecting and analyzing third-party risk metrics using machine learning. Most recently, from 2010 to 2016, they served as CTO of TrustNet Inc., where they played a crucial role in leading the execution of TrustNet's strategy for the TrustNet security management platform and related managed security services.

Mike Kerem has an extensive educational background. Mike began their studies in 1986 at the University of the Witwatersrand, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics. Mike then attended the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, Agriculture Operations, and Related Sciences in 1988. Finally, they attended the University of Johannesburg, where they earned an Electrical Engineering L/C in Electrical Engineering, Electonics, and Digital Systems in 1992. Additionally, Mike has obtained several certifications, including Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE) from ISACA in 2021, HiTrust CCSFP from HITRUST in 2019, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA in 2019, PCIP from the PCI Security Standards Council in 2017, PCI QSA from the PCI Security Standards Council in 2016, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in 2016, and ACSE from AlienVault in 2016.
