Jonas Alejo

Jonas Alejo has been working in the software engineering industry since 2015. In that time, they have held several roles at various companies. From 2015 to 2018, they worked at Cercacor Laboratories, Inc. as a Software Engineer. During this time, they developed a native iOS application in Objective-C used for clinical tests, a React Native application for curating data taken from a BLE device, and reduced oximeter animation delay by leveraging Bezier curve in animation logic. In 2018, they held two roles, Lead Full Stack Developer at Immerse and Lead Mobile Developer at Puffy App. At Immerse, they developed an internal React application for employing and scheduling educators and a tool in React for educators and learners to interact, teach, and learn. At Puffy App, they developed an iOS application written in Swift with 100k+ users and utilized a serverless backend using Firestore, Firebase Auth, and Cloud Functions. In 2019, they were a Software Engineer III at Paciolan, where they developed on a React Native app monitoring real time metrics for live events and a React Native SDK to empower third party mobile developers to leverage Paciolan services and technologies. Jonas also managed application state using Redux and handled side effects using Redux-Saga. In 2020, they were a Senior React Native Engineer at Rain For Rent. In 2021, they were a Tech Lead - Mobile at NowRx, where they developed several customer facing apps and an internal driver app in React Native and adopted Typescript into existing Javascript projects thereby improving code robustness. Currently, they are a Frontend Engineer III at iTrustCapital.

Jonas Alejo received their Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from UC Irvine in 2015 after attending from 2011-2015.
