It's Bigger Than Us (IBTU) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit headquartered at Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza in South Los Angeles. We build trusted, place-based programs that support youth, families, and neighborhoods through education, health access, and crisis response — designed with dignity, informed by community, and built to last.

We got our start in South LA, but our work goes wherever the need is. We serve communities across Los Angeles and have responded to needs out of state. Our approach starts with listening. We build the specific programs communities need in the places they already live and gather, design every touchpoint with dignity, and commit to staying. Trust compounds. Families stabilize. Neighborhoods strengthen.

THREE PILLARS OF IMPACT:
Crisis & Disaster Stabilization — Rapid response, trusted relief distribution, long-term recovery support. When crisis hits, IBTU is already there. We stabilized 5,000+ families through fire relief and operate The Hub, our permanent resource center serving 324 active clients with an average of 23.4 visits per client.

School & Youth Stability — Programming across 16 LAUSD campuses protecting attendance, engagement, and opportunity for 28,025 students. When families face instability, students feel it first.

Community Health & Resource Access — Food distributions, dental screenings, licensed mental health sessions, wellness activations. 15+ rotating partner services at The Hub remove barriers to health and essentials.

BY THE NUMBERS:
25,000+ community members reached annually. 300+ partners activated. 3,500+ volunteers deployed. $4.5M+ in-kind donations mobilized. 5 years of unbroken presence.
