John Marshall has extensive experience in cybersecurity and information system security engineering. John is currently a Senior Information System Security Engineer IV at ITS LLC, where they manage cybersecurity engineering activities for the Space Range Systems portfolio, provides technical execution support for cybersecurity activities, and oversees evaluation, testing, and delivery of security architecture improvement. Prior to this, they worked as a Cyber Security Systems Engineer IV at Barnett Engineering & Signaling Laboratories LLC and as a Cyber Security Analyst and Security Systems Administrator at the United States Air Force. John was also a Network Security Administrator/Risk Management Team Lead at the US Air Force Academy and a Cybersecurity Software Engineer at Honeywell Aerospace. Before joining these organizations, they were an IT Services/Project Consultant as an independent consultant.
John Marshall's education history starts with a CompTIA certification in Computer Technology/Computer Systems Technology at the New Horizon Computer Learning Center in 2007-2008. In 2012-2013, they attended USAF Technical School, where they studied Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services. John obtained several certifications, including the CompTIA A+ CE, CompTIA Network+ CE, and CompTIA Security + CE, and a Top Secret SCI Clearance through the Department of Defense in March 2012. In 2017, they acquired an associate degree from the Community College of the Air Force in Information Technology. In the same year, they graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) specializing in Information Technology Project Management - Security from Colorado Technical University. John is currently obtaining a Master of Science (MS) in Information Technology Project Management from the same university, which will finish in 2024.
