Steve Mortensen started their work experience in 2001 at DK Heating Systems as an Inside Sales/Customer Service representative. Steve worked there until 2003. In 2003, they moved on to On Site Lasercare where they worked as an Account Executive, responsible for cold sales calls and selling laser printer repair service contracts. In 2004, they joined Incredible Technologies as an Inside Sales Manager and eventually worked their way up to become the International Sales Manager. Steve held this position until at least February 2013.

Steve Mortensen earned an Associates Degree in Marketing from Harper College from 1996 to 1999. Steve then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing from Roosevelt University from 1999 to 2001. Finally, they completed their education by obtaining an MBA with a focus on Business from Northern Illinois University between 2002 and 2004.
