David Emory

David Emory has a vast and diverse work experience in the transportation and technology industries. David currently serves as the Senior Director of Customer Technology at MARTA, where they provide strategic leadership for customer-facing technology initiatives. In their previous role at MARTA, they were the Director of Technology Strategy and Innovation, responsible for long-term strategic planning of technology initiatives throughout the organization.

Prior to joining MARTA, Emory worked at IBI Group as an Associate Director, leading the Transit Software Development team and managing a team of developers and UX specialists. David also served as a Principal at Conveyal, where they contributed to transportation planning projects. Emory has strong expertise in product management and software development, having worked as a Project Lead at OpenPlans and a Research Associate at the Center for Geometric Computing, Brown University.

Emory's early career includes positions as a Principal Planner at the Atlanta Regional Commission and a Transportation Planner at Day Wilburn Associates. Throughout their career, Emory has demonstrated a strong ability to lead teams, develop innovative technology solutions, and contribute to strategic planning in the transportation industry.

David Emory completed their undergraduate studies in Computer Science at Brown University from 1997 to 2001. David subsequently pursued a Master's degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning at the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2002 to 2004.
