Javier M. Smith

Mr. Javier M. Smith is an experienced professional currently serving as an Information System Analyst III at MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority) since October 2022. Prior to this role, Mr. Smith worked at Mercer University from July 2021 to October 2022 as the Assistant Director of Student-Athlete Support Services, where responsibilities included coordinating tutoring and study programs, determining NCAA Progress Toward Degree eligibility, and providing academic progress reports to coaches and administration. Mr. Smith holds a Master of Science in Sport and Fitness Administration from Winthrop University (2017-2019), a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix (2008-2010), and a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from Robert Morris University (1994-1998). Education was completed at Cleveland Central Catholic High School between 1990 and 1994.
