Walid Bilel

Project Manager /functional Lead- Core Banking T24 at ITSS

Walid Bilel has extensive work experience in the banking industry, with a focus on project management and implementation of core banking systems. Walid started their career at UBCI Finance as a Back-office intern in 2005. Walid then joined BNP Paribas, where they held roles as Chargé Reporting Comptable & Reglementaire and later as Responsable Reporting comptable. In 2009, they moved to Banque Zitouna as a Chef de projet, participating in the startup phase and implementation of the T24-Temenos system.

At Banque Zitouna, Walid held various leadership positions, including Responsable Département Contrôle Comptable, Responsable Département Pilotage de la Stratégie, and Responsable Département Pilotage Performance Commerciale. In these roles, they were responsible for managing teams, ensuring reliable accounting information, participating in the upgrade of the T24 system, and supporting back-office and agency operations.

In 2017, Walid joined ITSS as a Project Manager / Functional Lead for Core Banking T24. Their responsibilities included determining project stakeholders, auditing processes, and analyzing flows. Walid worked on various projects for clients such as Fortuna Banque SC, Banque Centrale Populaire, UP Groupe, and KIB bank.

Throughout their career, Walid has demonstrated strong expertise in banking operations, financial reporting, and project management.

Walid Bilel holds a Mastère professionnel in Financial Engineering from the Institut des Hautes Etudes-Tunis. Walid also obtained a Maîtrise in Banking and Finance from the University of Tunis El Manar between 1998 and 2004. Additionally, Walid has pursued further education at The General Council for Islamic Banks and Institution (CIBAFI), where they obtained certifications as a Certified Islamic Banker and a Certified Islamic Specialist in Accounting.
