Thomas Binder is a distinguished academic and researcher in design and sustainability, currently serving as a Professor at IT-Universitetet i København since August 2023 and as a Research Affiliate at the Center For Design, Innovation, and Sustainable Transition at Aalborg University since September 2022. Previously, Binder held the position of Professor in Design and Sustainability at Design School Kolding from May 2019 to August 2022, and served as a Professor in Codesign Research at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts from January 2015 to May 2019. With a solid foundation in academia, Binder has also worked as an Associate Professor at the Danish Center for Design Research, Research Manager at the Center for Design Research, and Studio Director at Malmö university, where experience includes significant roles in technology, workplace learning, and design research since the early 1990s. Thomas Binder holds a PhD in Science & Technology Studies and a Master of Engineering in Engineering Design & Control Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark.
