Alexander Worton

Alexander Worton is a Principal Software Engineer at ITV since September 2017, where three key contributions include improving back-end observability using tools like Prometheus and PagerDuty, leading cross-functional initiatives for an Okta authenticated API gateway, and acting as a technical lead on an internal greenfield project. Prior to ITV, Alexander served in multiple roles at Ilford Grammar School for a decade, transitioning from a Software Developer to a Computer Science Teacher, where notable achievements include enhancing GCSE results and launching a migration initiative to Computer Science. Alexander began a career as a Trainee Accountant at Grunberg & Co, also developing a web-based application for client record management. Alexander holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Birkbeck, University of London, and a Bachelor's Degree in Business and Economics from the University of Kent.
