Ali Mahmood

Ali Mahmood is a skilled software developer with extensive experience in Scala development, particularly in the areas of personalisation and recommendations. Currently serving as a Senior Scala Developer at ITV since December 2018, Ali has worked with technologies such as GraphQL, AWS, Dynamo, and Kafka. Previous roles include Core Scala Developer and Junior Scala Developer, focusing on video streaming and machine learning. Prior to ITV, Ali gained experience at Sky as a Software Developer and Associate Software Developer, where responsibilities included working with Scala and Python, along with various data technologies. Starting a career at Interoute as an Undergraduate Product Manager, Ali showcased programming and research skills while managing service level agreements. Ali holds a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science from City St George's, University of London, and has further education in Arabic Language and Literature.
