Daniel Smith

Daniel Smith is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in full stack and front-end development. Currently serving as Lead Software Engineer at ITV since February 2023, Daniel initially focused on enhancing an order management application using React, while also prioritizing tech improvements, including modernizing authentication architecture. Previously, Daniel held positions as Senior Full Stack Developer at Cox Automotive Inc., contributing to the eVA car appraisal app, and as a Software Developer at bet365, developing sports betting user interfaces. Daniel’s career began at Finning International as a Microsoft Web Analyst Programmer, following a successful IT student placement during studies at Staffordshire University, where a First Class Honours Degree in Computing Science was achieved. Early experience also includes freelance web design and roles in customer service.
