David Wood

David Wood is an experienced journalist currently serving as Westminster Editor at ITV since January 2010, where responsibilities include overseeing political coverage across ITV's regions and managing a team of Political Correspondents. Throughout a distinguished career at ITV, David has also held roles as Political Correspondent, where key assignments involved reporting on two general elections, Brexit negotiations, and the Government's response to the Covid pandemic, as well as presenting ITV West Country's political discussion programme. David's journalism career began with roles at Global Radio and GMG Radio as a Broadcast Journalist, and prior experience includes teaching sailing and powerboating at Rockley Watersports. David holds a PG Diploma in Broadcast Journalism from Cardiff University and a Bachelor of Arts in English and History from Swansea University.
