Deborah McAleese is an experienced broadcast journalist currently working at ITV Careers since March 2018, specializing in UTV. Previous roles include a journalist at the Press Association from January 2017 to March 2018 and crime correspondent for the Belfast Telegraph from January 2005 to January 2017, where responsibilities included investigating and reporting on security, crime, policing, and justice in Northern Ireland, along with international assignments in locations such as Iraq and Ethiopia. Deborah began the journalism career at The Down Recorder from July 2000 to January 2005. Deborah holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Modern Studies in the Humanities from Ulster University.
