Mark Ison

Mark Ison possesses extensive experience in software engineering and technical leadership across various high-profile companies. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering - Video at ITV since February 2021, Mark has previously held significant roles at Sainsbury's as Chief Software Engineer for Digital Products and at Sky as Head of Software Engineering and Principal Software Engineer. Notable achievements include leading the successful delivery of the Sky Go Web application and driving technical direction for frontend OTT systems across multiple brands. With a background in Agile methodologies and a strong focus on team development and best practices, Mark has also contributed to medical device connectivity solutions and embedded software projects throughout their career. Mark holds a BSc (Hons) in Computing for Real Time Systems from the University of the West of England.
