Sofia Olins

Sofia Olins is an award-winning drama and documentary director known for creating independent and NGO-funded films that employ a participatory approach among hard-to-reach communities. They began their career as a press officer at City University and have worked as an assistant teacher at King Alfred School. With extensive experience in feature films, television, and commercials, they have directed over 200 projects as a freelance assistant director. Sofia currently serves as the Emmerdale Director at ITV and as a director for BBC's Doctors. They hold an MA in Documentary from Goldsmiths, University of London.
