Tom Johnson

Tom Johnson is an accomplished cyber security professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various organizations. Currently serving as the Head of Cyber Security Operations & Engineering and Head of SecOps at ITV since August 2019, Tom has demonstrated expertise in managing cyber security teams and operations. Prior to ITV, Tom held the position of Senior Cyber Investigations Manager at Barclays, where skills in team building and risk mitigation were utilized to significantly increase savings and enhance incident response processes. Tom also served as a Detective Sergeant and Digital Investigations Manager at the Metropolitan Police from 2006 to 2017, where notable achievements included establishing a new digital investigations team and improving staff retention. Tom began his career in advertising sales with BBC Worldwide and EMAP Publications and holds an MSc in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from Royal Holloway, University of London.
