Anders Hallan has extensive experience in malacology, focusing on the systematics and evolution of marine and freshwater mollusks. Since October 2016, Anders has held a position as a Research Associate at the Australian Museum, with responsibilities including curatorial duties and research on deep-sea turrid gastropods. Anders is also a member of the IUCN SSC Mollusc Specialist Group and has contributed to biosecurity assessments at the Australian Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment. Prior involvement includes developing interactive tools for identifying freshwater mollusks and conducting IUCN Red List assessments for Australian camaenid land snails. Anders holds a PhD in Biological Sciences from the University of Wollongong.
