Daniel Stiles is an accomplished expert in wildlife conservation and transnational crime, currently serving at the Alliance to Counter Crime Online since March 2019. With extensive involvement in elephant conservation as a member of the IUCN/SSC African Elephant Specialist Group since March 2010 and as a project coordinator researching causes of elephant poaching, Stiles also contributes to the IUCN CEESP/SSC Sustainable Use and Livelihoods Specialist Group. Recent roles include serving as a project management consultant for UNODC, focusing on illicit trade chains of wildlife products, and as a senior consultant for the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime, analyzing illegal species trade in Africa. Stiles holds multiple degrees, including a Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley, and has worked on initiatives addressing great ape trafficking and ivory trade, reflecting a deep commitment to environmental and wildlife protection.
