Jim Mitchell

Jim Mitchell serves as the Access and Learning Manager at New Forest National Park Authority since September 2006, overseeing a diverse team focused on access, education, and visitor engagement. As part of the Strategic Leadership Team, Jim has played a key role in developing the 2022-27 Partnership Plan and NPA Business Plan, while managing budgets and securing external funding. Additionally, Jim co-founded the Nature Health Network, fostering connections between nature and health, and has held significant leadership positions at the Association for Heritage Interpretation. Previous roles include project delivery and interpretation positions at IUCN and Cardiff University, with earlier experience as a Recreation/Education Ranger for the Forestry Commission.
