Minna Epps

Minna Epps is a seasoned marine policy expert currently serving as the Director of Global Ocean Policy at IUCN, a position held since April 2019, where responsibilities include leading advocacy and policy strategies for ocean conservation. Concurrently, Minna is the Director of the Global Marine and Polar Programme at the Blue Natural Capital Funding Facility and serves as Executive Committee Chair. Experience also includes a board member role at WWF Sweden from May 2016 to May 2025, and previous positions at the Marine Stewardship Council, where Minna was Program Director and Program Manager. A background in consulting for multilateral organizations and implementing coastal ecosystem projects complements Minna's extensive experience, which is supported by degrees including an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London and a BSc in Marine and Freshwater Biology from Queen Mary University of London.
