Ranit Chatterjee

CEM Member For Biodiversity And Private Sector

Ranit Chatterjee is an accomplished professional in disaster management and resilience, currently serving as a Member of the Board of Studies and Visiting Faculty at Rashtriya Raksha University, India, since May 2024. Ranit holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at RIKA India and RIKA Institute since February 2024 and has been a Visiting Associate Professor at Keio University since July 2022. Additional roles include Technical Expert at CDRI and Advisory Member for the Stakeholder Engagement Mechanism at the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) since 2021. Ranit is also a CEM member for Biodiversity and Private Sector at IUCN and co-founder of the Resilience Innovation Knowledge Academy, established in August 2018. Previous experience includes working as an Innovation Specialist at Tata Consultancy Services and co-founding RIKA Institute. Ranit’s academic credentials include a PhD in Disaster Management from Kyoto University and two Master's degrees in Crisis/Emergency/Disaster Management from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, along with a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from the National Institute of Technology Calicut.
