Simon King is an accomplished medical professional and entrepreneur with extensive experience in wilderness healthcare and incident management. As the Founder of Park Doctor since July 2017, Simon developed a non-profit platform to connect medical professionals with protected wild areas. Simon co-founded St Lucia Medical Centre in April 2021, focusing on providing healthcare infrastructure in natural protected areas. Serving as Chief Medical Officer for both Wilderness Leadership School and SATIB Insurance Brokers since 2019 and 2007 respectively, Simon has been instrumental in clinical management and emergency services. Previously, Simon founded and managed various companies, including Africa SAFE-T, which provides wilderness-specific medical services, and Blackplan Incident Management, which focuses on incident management in remote locations. Simon holds an MBBCh in Medicine from the University of the Witwatersrand, earned between 1986 and 1991.
