Simone Maynard, PhD, is a conservation professional with extensive experience in ecosystem management and environmental valuation. Currently serving as the Conservation Manager for the National Parks Association of Queensland Inc. and a Research Fellow at the Australian Rivers Institute, Simone has held various academic and research roles, including Adjunct Research Fellow at Griffith University and Principal at Socio-ecological Solutions. With a doctoral degree from The Australian National University and a strong background in environmental planning, including a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of the Sunshine Coast, Simone has contributed significantly to the field through leadership roles in the IUCN Commission on Ecosystem Management and project management at SEQ Catchments.
