Slava Ivanov

Slava Ivanov is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project leadership, urban development, and ecotourism. Currently serving as the CEM - Eastern Europe Regional Chair at IUCN since July 2019, Slava focuses on sustainable management of protected areas. Previous roles include Nieman Visiting Fellow at Harvard University, Project Lead at Strategy Partners, and Chief Business Development Officer at the Moscow Center for Urban Studies, among others. Notable achievements encompass leading real estate development projects, managing consulting engagements, and stimulating ecotourism initiatives in Russia. An academic background includes a Master’s Degree in Urban Studies and an MBA, both from the Higher School of Economics.
