Sofie Jaffe

Sofie Jaffe is an international relations, development, and climate policy expert currently serving as the Permanent Observer of IUCN to the UN. With over fifteen years of experience in government, UN, and NGO sectors, Sofie has a proven track record in climate change, environmental policy, and humanitarian aid. Previously, Sofie held key roles at organizations such as Oxfam, Trocaire, and the World Meteorological Organization, where significant funds were raised for humanitarian efforts. Sofie holds an MSc in Social Sciences from Helsingin yliopisto and is pursuing a Master's in Environmental Management at the University of London, alongside a PhD in Environmental Science from the University of Helsinki.
