Steven de Bie

Steven de Bie is an independent consultant and owner of Conservation Consultancy Steven de Bie since 2012, focusing on biodiversity and business, No Net Loss, and Habitatbanking. Responsibilities include advising on conservation policies, measurements, and stakeholder management. Steven has held various academic and leadership roles, including adjunct professor at Wageningen UR and Vogelbescherming Nederland, partner at De Gemeynt Co-operative U.A., president of the Club of Rome's Dutch Association, and a member of the IUCN Species Survival Commission. Previous experience includes roles at Shell International and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with educational qualifications including a PhD in Wildlife Resources of the West African Savanna and an MSc in Animal Ecology.
