Emir Omerdic currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) since February 2023. Omerdic has extensive experience in the cement industry, holding the position of Head of Electrical Maintenance at Lukavac Cement d.o.o. since September 2014 and previously worked as a System Engineer at the Cement Factory Lukavac from September 2003 to August 2014. Earlier in Omerdic's career, experience includes serving as an Instrumentation Engineer at Power Plant Tuzla from May 1997 to September 2003. Omerdic holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Fakultet elektrotehnike Tuzla, earned in March 2022, and a Master's degree in Mathematical Modelling of Industrial Processes and Optimisation of Models from the same institution, attained in 2006. Educational background also includes studies at Univerzitet u Tuzli and Gimnazija Tuzla.
