Lee Sampson serves as the Vice President of Geophysics at Ivanhoe Electric since July 2025. Prior to this role, Lee held various positions at Barrick Mining Corporation from March 2003 to July 2025, culminating in the role of Chief Geophysicist for Global Exploration, where responsibilities included overseeing geophysical exploration tools for high-quality gold and copper deposit discovery. Additional roles at Barrick included Principal Geophysicist for the Australia Pacific region and Regional Geophysicist for North America. Lee's earlier experience includes consulting and positions at Homestake Gold and UTS Geophysics. Educational qualifications include a BSc in Exploration Geophysics (Hons) and a BSc in Exploration Geophysics, both from Curtin University.
