Alan Ryder is a retired insurance executive who currently serves on the Board of Directors of Sagicor Financial Company Limited and its operating companies, ivari and Sagicor Life Insurance Company. Ryder founded Aurigen Capital Limited, leading it as CEO until its acquisition by PartnerRe in 2017, where they subsequently served as CEO of the North America Life business unit. With a career that began in 1980 as a pricing actuary with Munich Reinsurance Company, Ryder has held numerous leadership positions, including President of Employers Reassurance Canada and Winterthur Life Re Insurance Company. They graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1980 with a Bachelor of Mathematics degree and attained fellowships in professional actuarial societies in 1982.
