David Thomas currently serves as Director of Client Strategy and Co-CEO of Canada for Training The Street, following the company's acquisition of The Marquee Group in April 2023. Additionally, David lectures in Finance at the Ivey Business School at Western University since January 2018, and previously held the position of Principal at The Marquee Group from July 2012 to May 2023, where a strong emphasis was placed on spreadsheet-based financial models. David was also a Board Member at the Financial Modeling Institute from March 2016 to March 2023, overseeing the world’s only financial modeling accreditation program. Prior experience includes leadership roles as President & CEO of J&T Advisors (Canada) Inc., CEO of J&T Bank and Trust, and various positions at BMO Capital Markets, specializing in equity capital markets and the utility sector. David holds an MBA from Ivey Business School and is a certified Trust and Estate Practitioner.
