Mike Binette

Mike Binette is an accomplished coach and career strategist in capital markets, currently serving at Investment Dealers and Financial Institutions since November 2011, where Mike has created Best Practices modules for equity research teams to enhance their effectiveness. Additionally, as a consultant for Career Management (Financial Services) at Ivey Business School since September 2012, Mike provides personalized career guidance to MBA students pursuing opportunities within capital markets, covering various aspects such as networking and interview preparation. Previously, Mike served as Managing Director of Equity Research at Blackmont Capital from 2001 to 2008, where the research team achieved top rankings among independent Canadian dealers. Prior to that, Mike was Managing Director at TD Securities Inc., leading a significant expansion of the research team and increasing market share in Canadian equity trading. Mike holds an MBA from Western University and degrees in Chemical Engineering and Biochemistry from the University of Ottawa.
