Scott Vanderwel

Scott Vanderwel is the Chief Executive Officer of PointsBet Canada, leading one of Canada's premier sportsbooks since August 2021. In addition to this role, Vanderwel serves as a Board Member of the Canadian Gaming Association, focusing on advancing the Canadian gaming industry. Vanderwel is also a member of the Ivey Advisory Board and holds the position of Chairman of the Ivey Alumni Network Board, overseeing strategic direction and governance. As the Founder and President of Snoball Initiatives Inc., Vanderwel provides advisory support to companies aiming for growth and improved operations. With a robust background in digital operations and corporate strategy from a senior vice president role at Rogers Communications, Vanderwel also actively advises at Hireguide and has a history of volunteering for organizations like the United Way Greater Toronto and MaRS Discovery District. Vanderwel earned a HBA degree from the Ivey Business School at Western University in 1998.
