Philip van Biljon

Philip van Biljon is a skilled software engineer and machine learning specialist with diverse experience in backend development and data analytics. Currently serving as a Backend Engineer at iwoca since September 2024, Philip has previously worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at Fudge and Bash, where responsibilities included leading the development of fraud detection models. Philip's foundational experience at Bïndo, a startup at the intersection of birding, gaming, and data analytics, involved backend development and product design. Earlier roles include a data scientist position at Kin, focusing on data product development and customer engagement analysis, as well as internships at Clickatell and BrandsEye, where contributions enhanced software functionality and sentiment analysis features.
