Anthony Appleton

Anthony Appleton is a Partner at BDO UK LLP and has extensive expertise in financial reporting, with a focus on IFRS and UK GAAP. They are currently a Director of Accounting and Reporting Policy at the Financial Reporting Council, where their team develops UK Financial Reporting Standards and promotes clear corporate reporting. Previously, they held various roles including Director in the Technical Standards Group at BDO LLP and as a member of the Technical Expert's Group advising the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group Board. Anthony studied Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at The Queen's College, University of Oxford.
