Gerald Bates

Gerald Bates is a Partner within BDO’s International Institutions & Donor Assurance group, where they lead a dedicated team focused on providing assurance and advisory services for grant-giving charitable trusts and foundations. Since joining BDO after the merger with Moore Stephens LLP, Gerald has managed over 3,000 assignments across more than 40 countries, ensuring the effective oversight of donor funds. Gerald holds a post-graduate diploma in International Development from the London School of Economics, graduating with Distinction, and is a fellow of the ICAEW. Additionally, they serve as a Charity Trustee for an INGO and have contributed to the sector through various initiatives and publications.
