Eric Canan

Eric Canan is an experienced ELA Content Editor at IXL Learning, with a diverse background in editorial roles. Prior to this position, Eric held various positions at Great Minds, including Senior Manager, Editorial, and Senior Science Content Editor. Freelance writing endeavors included contributions to Green Building and Design and a self-employed writing assignment. Eric has served as an Editorial Assistant at DePaul University, a Training Specialist at Mediaocean, and a Specimen Technician at the United States Drug Testing Laboratories. Teaching experience spans multiple grades and subjects in science and engineering, with notable roles at Federal Way Public Schools and as a Summer School Demonstration Teacher for the University of Washington's TFA Institute. Eric holds a Master’s degree in Writing and Publishing from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The Ohio State University.
