Gunilla Beard

Gunilla Beard has had a varied work experience spanning several industries. Gunilla started their career as a Mystery Shopper for an independent contractor in 2009. Gunilla later worked as a Client Service Professional for H&R Block, assisting with tax preparation and servicing up to 100 clients a day during peak season. Gunilla also worked as a Tax Specialist and Tax Professional for H&R Block.

In 2016, Gunilla gained experience in localization quality assurance testing as a Localization Quality Assurance Tester for Keywords Studios. Gunilla was based at Microsoft headquarters and focused on localizing various apps for different platforms. Gunilla also worked as a Localization Tester for Experis, specializing in Xbox One localization projects.

Gunilla has a passion for teaching and promoting literacy. Gunilla worked as a Teacher at the Swedish School Association in Seattle, where they taught students and managed the library. Gunilla also served as a Librarian at the same school, managing loans for 100 students and making decisions on book additions and withdrawals.

Gunilla has further experience in language tutoring, serving as a Studio Coach for Rosetta Stone and offering online tutoring for Swedish language students.

Most recently, Gunilla worked as an Educational Services Representative for Usborne Books, promoting literacy and literature for young people by offering books published by Usborne and Kane Miller. Their services extended beyond online sales as they served schools, libraries, childcare centers, and individual families nationwide.

In 2022, Gunilla joined IXL Learning as a Language Tutor, further utilizing their language skills in their work.

Gunilla Beard attended Lund University from 1987 to 1991. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Systems Analysis.
