Jiho Kim has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple industries. Jiho began their career as a Systems Specialist at Pacific Lutheran University in 1998 and held the position until 2003. From 2002 to 2003, they worked as a Mathematics Instructor at Tacoma Community College, teaching Intermediate Algebra courses.

In 2005, Jiho joined Indiana University and worked in various roles. Jiho started as an Associate Instructor, teaching mathematics courses and providing assistance in other mathematics classes. Jiho also worked as a Programmer/Consultant, participating in academic programming projects involving knot theory, recursion theory, and theoretical physics, utilizing a range of technologies. Additionally, they served as a Research Assistant, contributing to various academic programming projects.

Jiho then joined ProCure Treatment Centers in 2010 as a Programmer. In this role, they worked primarily with Java and MS SQL Server, managing patient intake processes and developing Swing-based UI applications. Jiho also designed a data warehousing system and developed mathematical models for proton therapy delivery. Jiho worked on various projects, including infrared-camera position tracking, customized medical equipment QA, and enhancing programmability features of an industrial KUKA robot controller.

Since 2013, Jiho has been employed at IXL Learning, initially working as a Software Engineer. Jiho gradually progressed to roles of increasing responsibility, such as Senior Software Engineer and later Senior Software Engineer II and Senior Software Engineer III. Jiho contributed to implementing academic problems for children, enhancing API, and redesigning automatic, multithreaded testing tools to identify logical and performance issues in content code.

Jiho Kim pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from Pacific Lutheran University, starting in 1997 and completing it in 2002. Following this, they attended Indiana University from 2003 to 2011, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science and a Ph.D. in Mathematics.
