Karyn Collie, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in the field of biology and environmental science. From August 2013 to December 2021, they served as an Associate Professor of Biology at Malone University, where they played an instrumental role in the growth of the Zoo and Wildlife Biology program. Karyn taught a wide range of courses, oversaw research students and internships, and was involved in curriculum development, including the creation of the Environmental Studies major and minors.

From August 2022 to May 2023, Karyn worked as a Visiting Associate Professor of Biology and Environmental Science at the University of Mount Union.

Beginning in May 2023, they will join IXL Learning as a Science Curriculum Designer.

Karyn Collie, Ph.D., has an extensive education history in the field of biology, specializing in ecology, evolution, and behavior. Karyn began their academic journey in 2002 at Ouachita Baptist University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree. During their time at Ouachita Baptist University, Karyn studied a diverse range of subjects, including biology, psychology, and chemistry.

Following the completion of their undergraduate studies, Karyn enrolled at The Graduate Center, City University of New York, in 2006. Karyn'seducational pursuit at The Graduate Center spanned over seven years, during which they obtained a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree in Biology with a concentration in Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior. Building upon their master's degree, Karyn furthered their research and academic achievements, ultimately earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biology, specializing in Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior.

With a strong background in biology, psychology, and chemistry, as well as their impressive research and academic accomplishments, Karyn Collie, Ph.D., is well-equipped to contribute to the field of biology and make valuable contributions to the scientific community.
