Michael Hays

Michael Hays is an accomplished design leader with extensive experience in digital design and art direction, currently serving as the Design Lead at IXL Learning since January 2019. Hays has a strong background in managing design teams and providing creative leadership, particularly for the ABCya brand, where responsibilities have included directing the creation of illustrations, animations, and UI designs for educational products. Prior roles at ABCya.com involved serving as Art Director and Art Team Lead, contributing significantly to game design and branding efforts. Previous experiences include positions at Boston Productions, Inc., Amazing Charts, Looney Labs, and the Singapore-MIT Gambit Game Lab, where Hays developed a diverse skill set in graphic design and multimedia. Hays holds a BFA in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design.
