Zack MacHardy has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Zack started their career as a College Intern at EMC in 2010 before moving on to work as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2011 to 2012. In 2013, Zack worked as a Camp Counselor at Concordia Language Villages.
Zack then joined Edmodo in 2014 as an Intern, where they gained experience in front-end engineering and backend development. Zack worked on developing web applications and visualizations using Javascript-based technologies.
In 2013, Zack started working at UC Berkeley as a Graduate Student Instructor and later became a Graduate Student Researcher from 2014 to 2015.
After their time at UC Berkeley, Zack joined NTT DoCoMo in 2015 as a Researcher, where they worked until 2017.
Since 2017, Zack has been working at IXL Learning, starting as a Software Engineer and progressing to Senior Software Engineer in 2019. Zack then took on the role of Engineering Project Lead from 2021 to 2022. Currently, Zack holds the position of Development Manager at IXL Learning from July 2022.
Zack MacHardy pursued their education in Computer Science, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill between 2010 and 2012. Subsequently, they went on to enroll at the University of California, Berkeley, where they completed a Master's degree in Computer Science from 2013 to 2015.
