Barton Bishop is an accomplished adaptation scriptwriter and educator with extensive experience in narrative design and storytelling across various media. Currently serving as the Lead Adaptation Scriptwriter for "Pokemon Horizons" at Iyuno, Barton has also been an Adjunct Professor at New York University Gallatin School of Individualized Study since 2016, where teaching focuses on traditional and non-traditional storytelling, narrative design, and game design. Previous roles include Senior Manager of Learning Design at Ascend Learning and Lead Writer at Kognito. As Narrative Director at Gameloft, Barton expanded a small team into a global narrative division, overseeing projects across multiple studios worldwide. With a background in theater as a playwright and experience as an Adaptation Writer for 4Kids Productions, Barton’s work spans numerous animated series and mobile games, showcasing a diverse skill set in scriptwriting, character development, and world-building. Barton's academic credentials include an MFA in Dramatic Writing from New York University and a B.A. in Theatre from Rollins College.
