Lance Riley

Lance Riley has extensive work experience in the technology and music industry. Lance is currently working at iZotope, Inc. as the Lead Product Designer. Prior to this role, they held positions such as Senior UX Designer and UX Designer at the same company. Before joining iZotope, Inc., Lance worked at Cakewalk as a Product Manager & Designer, where they played a crucial role in the design process and pioneered a stronger focus on user experience. Lance also worked as a Quality Assurance Engineer, testing and tracking bugs in Cakewalk software, and as a Technical Support Engineer, providing assistance to customers. In addition, Lance has experience as a Live Sound Engineer at The Beehive and The Beat Hotel, where they managed sound operations for various jazz, blues, and folk artists. Lance also worked as a Head Sound Engineer at Precinct Bar, overseeing sound operations and maintaining the house system. Lance Riley has a diverse education history. In 1997, they attended the Vancouver School of Arts and Academics, where they obtained a Diploma in Music, Film, and Animation Production. Lance then pursued further education in the field of music production and engineering, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree from Berklee College of Music between 2003 and 2007. Lance's passion for design led him to General Assembly in 2017, where they completed the User Experience Design Immersive program. In addition to their formal education, Lance has obtained several certifications, including Foundations in Design Thinking, From Ideas To Action, and Insights for Innovation from IDEO U, UX Research for Agile Teams and Statistics Foundations: 1 from LinkedIn, and Introduction to User Experience Design from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Lance has also completed courses in Software Processes and Agile Practices and Introduction to Software Product Management through Coursera.
