Katie Flaherty

Katie Flaherty has extensive experience in legal roles focused on technology, privacy, and risk management. Currently serving as Senior Corporate Counsel at J.Crew, Katie provides legal advice on technology and cybersecurity matters while collaborating with the technology team to ensure compliance with data privacy regulations. Prior to this, Katie held several key positions at the New York City Police Department, including Director of Privacy Matters, where counsel was provided on privacy and data security issues, and Deputy Managing Attorney, where civil liability risk management practices were pioneered. Additional experience includes internships with the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General and George J. Trembeth, III, Esq., as well as a summer internship with the NYC Department of Correction. Katie holds a JD from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law and a Master of Laws in Risk Management from Texas A&M University School of Law.
