J MODERNIST is a boutique art & design firm in the greater Los Angeles area. At a young age, J MODERNIST's founder "J" knew she wanted to do something creative. J developed her love of visual arts while living all over the country (NY, SF, CHI, ATL, & LA) and traveling internationally. She spent several years in Corporate Marketing heading up branding, advertising and promotions. As a personal interest, J would help friends and family with design/decorating advice and ideas. Her decorating interests included hunting for unique pieces of art as well as creating her own ceramic art pieces. In 2015, J decided to combine her passion for decorating and design with her business background to start J MODERNIST.

J currently resides in the greater Los Angeles area with her family. In her spare time you can usually find her at the art studio creating unique, art pieces that also serve as functional ware or relaxing while painting.
