Miriam Sequeira is a clinical consultant at Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) since August 2019, focusing on the development of psychosocial interventions for the elderly in Tamil Nadu as part of studies led by Nobel Laureates. Prior to this role, Miriam served as a research project coordinator at Sangath from March 2018 to March 2024, where expertise in psychology was applied to create culturally relevant mental health interventions for elderly care in Goa. Additionally, experience includes roles as a school counselor at KLE Society Belgaum and a clinical coordinator at Sangath India, where leadership was demonstrated in developing interventions for substance use and mental health issues. Educationally, Miriam holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Karnatak University and a Bachelor of Arts from KLE's Lingaraj College.
