Greg Bronzert has worked in the software engineering field since 1996. Greg began their career at Noblis (formerly Mitretek) as a Senior Engineer, where they served as technical manager for the Health Systems Engineering Lab and developed a real-time patient lookup system using active server pages (ASP). In 1999, they moved to The Motley Fool as a Foolhardy Techie, where they re-engineered the Quotes & Data backend system, wrote a QuickDiff/Publisher VB application, designed and wrote an ASP documentation tool in VB, oversaw development, code reviews, and release of Fool Portfolios v2.1, and acted as lead database designer and programmer for the Quotes & Data news system. In 2001, they joined MITRE as a Senior Engineer, where they designed and wrote a cross-platform parser in C++, researched security issues involved in wireless lans and virtual private networks, tested VPN behavior under a distributed denial of service (DDOS) attack, gave several tech briefs on Microsoft .NET technologies, and prototyped the use of wireless access framework products in N-tier architectures. In 2002, they moved to First Data Corporation as a Senior Application Architect, where they lead the development team for PayPoint and developed multiple framework APIs for use by developers in client solutions. Finally, in 2013 they joined Jackrabbit Online Class Management Software as Director of Engineering, Engineering Manager, and Senior Software Developer, where they helped create cutting edge class management SaaS websites, re-architected the development pipeline and production hosting environment, implemented real-time application monitoring, rebuilt the email system, and re-architected the payment processing engine.
Greg Bronzert attended Virginia Tech from 1992 to 1996, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering.
