James Fahey retired from The Jackson Laboratory in March 2025 after a distinguished career spanning over 25 years, where the role included Chief of Diagnostic Services and Associate Director of Comparative Medicine and Quality, overseeing laboratories focused on infectious diseases in rodents, pathology, and genetic quality monitoring. Prior to his tenure at The Jackson Laboratory, James held the position of Director of Diagnostic Services and Pathology. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, a Doctor of Philosophy in Immunology and Parasitology from Rutgers University, a Master’s degree in Immunology and Parasitology from Seton Hall University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from St. Leo College. Additionally, James has been board certified in Veterinary Microbiology by the American College of Veterinary Microbiology since 1996.
